Overview
CastCloud is a podcast streaming app designed to make discovering and listening to audio content simple and enjoyable. I approached this project with the goal of reducing complexity in how people interact with podcast platforms. Many existing solutions tend to feel busy or overwhelming, so I focused on designing something clean, lightweight, and user-first.
Process
The process began with researching the podcast industry to understand user pain points and expectations. I reviewed leading podcast apps to identify usability gaps and opportunities for improvement. From these insights, I crafted user flows that supported intuitive discovery, playback, and content management.
I then created wireframes to shape the app’s layout, testing different content hierarchies to ensure clarity. Once the structure was validated, I moved into high-fidelity design in Figma, focusing on a minimal and calm visual language with adequate spacing, soft color palettes, and clear typography.
Interactive elements were carefully considered, from the player interface to the content cards. The result was a design that feels modern and smooth without sacrificing usability. I also prototyped the full experience in Framer to simulate real-user flows and validate transitions, layout consistency, and overall feel.
Outcome
CastCloud reflects my ability to design clean and user-focused mobile apps. It showcases my attention to hierarchy, accessibility, and content clarity, while solving real user problems with thoughtful design decisions.
