Overview
NexGear is a mobile UI design project created for a fictional tech gadget store. It’s aimed at providing users with a seamless, engaging shopping experience for products like smartphones, laptops, and accessories. The design focuses on simplicity, user-friendly navigation, and impactful visuals to appeal to modern consumers.
This project was a creative exploration of how to present tech products in a sleek and organized interface, with essential flows like browsing, searching, saving favorites, and managing the cart. Each screen was designed to prioritize usability and visual appeal across devices
Process
I began by mapping out the essential flows and features a gadget shopping app should have. Once the wireframes were in place, I explored visual direction — blending minimalism with a touch of tech-inspired boldness. The interface uses clear hierarchy, functional layouts, and card-based designs to make browsing and decision-making effortless for users.
Color contrast was applied thoughtfully to highlight calls-to-action, while spacing and typography were adjusted to ensure clarity. Each screen was tested visually for cohesion and simplicity. The cart and favorites flow was optimized to support easy item management and checkout.
Outcome
The final outcome was a cohesive, user-focused mobile app interface that offers a delightful shopping experience. NexGear presents tech gadgets in a premium layout while keeping usability at the forefront. The project showcases my ability to design complete app experiences from structure to visual execution, with a focus on consistency, modern UI patterns, and clean interaction flows. It’s now a key part of my portfolio, representing my strength in mobile-first product design.
